Who We Serve
"Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13
Hear below from some of the men and women whose lives God has touched through the ministry of Redeemer's Ridge.
P. | Torrington, CT
"Redeemer’s Ridge has been such a great influence for members of the fire department. Their team members are willing and able to offer assistance to members of the first responder community with any form of assistance and support that they can provide. They can work directly with individuals, or just reach out, and then they give a recommendation for additional support, if that’s what that person is looking for.
Chaplain Chip, being a retired firefighter, first-handedly understands the challenges and struggles that first responders face. It is not talking to a “shrink”, who may have full knowledge and education, but it’s the experience and relatability that is also so important and valuable for a first responder looking for assistance.
They are kind-hearted, caring people who truly want to make a difference. They have been there for me if I ever needed to reach out, and for when I go through my own personal struggles.”

"Redeemer’s Ridge Ministries is a non-profit, charitable organization which I have admired since its inception. Its Chaplain, “Chip” Warner, a retired Lieutenant and 30+ year veteran of the Torrington, CT Fire Department, recognized the need and calling from God to provide counseling and help to present and retired first responders.
His successful outreach and professional expertise with the Torrington, CT Fire and Police departments, as well as the CT State Police Barracks has grown exponentially since its inception. All services have been provided gratis through
Redeemer’s Ridge Ministries which is supported by personal contributions from the public.
In addition to formalized activities, Chaplain Warner offers much needed one-on-one listening and counseling opportunities for first responders and their families. He meets people at a place of their choosing or at his country retreat home, where, with the dedication and help of his wife, “Cookie,” he provides an atmosphere of caring and solace for those in need. His home is open, with no appointments needed, to those first responders who are troubled and in need of help, during and after their heroic careers.
I wholeheartedly admire and support the important work of Chaplain Warner and Redeemer’s Ridge Ministries and urge your support to this most valuable, life-sustaining, and healing ministry."

"Everything was fine until everything wasn’t. It takes just one
event to send life into a tailspin.
In one brief morning, my fairytale-like life turned into a nightmare. A life once filled with love and joy was now consumed with pain, trauma, and grief. There is no room in the brain to process these horrific emotions, yet so many details needed my attention. If it were not for Redeemer’s Ridge and the ministries of Chaplain Chip and his wife, Ramona, my family and I would have been lost.
These caring ministers of hope took control of the messy turmoil we had to face and conquer. We are broken and will forever carry the weight of grief in our hearts, but also the feelings of gratitude and love for the generosity and assistance given through Redeemer’s Ridge.”

"We first met Chip & Cookie when they moved across the street from us fifteen years ago. At the time, Chip was a Lieutenant with the Torrington Fire Department and also served as their In-Service Chaplain. Both titles and their responsibilities fueled his passion to help and serve others. Chip & Cookie brought to life their dream of Redeemer's Ridge Ministries. Working together, they were able to help a much larger population of people by counseling them emotionally, spiritually, and, in some instances, financially.
Their efforts faced unique challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic but their dedication & determination never wavered as the needs of others increased significantly during this time. They work tirelessly at any time day or night to help others when they are facing some of the darkest days of their lives. They are two of the most loving, caring, God-fearing people we have the pleasure of calling, not just friends, but our chosen family.”
